Recital and Fundraiser

6:30-9 (doors open at 6 / auction ends at 8)
Tickets will be sold at the door, $2.00 for students/children, $5.00 for adults
This exciting event will feature small groups and soloists from the LEMS Music Department, in a relaxed café atmosphere. This event will also be a fundraiser for the LEMS Music department to help raise general funds for equipment, music, supplies, uniforms, and field trips. There will be a bake sale with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as an exciting silent auction.
What the money is being used for
The music program at Lake Elkhorn Middle School works with over 50% of the student population through general music classes, chorus, orchestra, and band programs. Due to the great number of students we serve, we are still in need of additional funds to purchase and repair instruments, and buy sheet music and other music supplies that our amazing music students can use on a daily basis.
This year we hope to raise at least $2000, to be used for:
- Guest clinicians to work with each performing group (approximately $100 each)
- Field trip scholarships for students in need of financial assistance ($110 per student)
- Instrument Repair
- Audio equipment (microphones, amplifiers, etc…)
